Do I need a visa?

EU/EEA Nationals:

Holders of an EEA (EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) or Swiss passport do not require a visa. Nationals from EU-countries as well as Switzerland and Liechtenstein may stay for an unlimited time.

Non-EU/EEA Nationals:

Please visit the website of the Austrian Foreign Ministry for a list for countries whose nationals do NOT need a visa for Austria if their stay does not exceed 90 days.

Nationals of countries NOT listed above will need to obtain a visa to travel to Austria.

How do I apply for a visa?

Please calculate around 10 weeks processing time for your visa application.  Should you need an invitation letter for your visa application, please contact the Local Organizing Committee: isaforum2016@univie.ac.at. Please contact your embassy for more information on the specific requirements of applications from your country. We ask for your understanding that we cannot offer visa assistance to family members of Forum guests.
